WalMart parking lot on a rainy nite! What fun!?

"This has never happened before!" were several responses that people gave as we helped people to their cars with umbrellas in hand. We held the umbrellas and the people stayed dry as we walked people to and from their cars. "We are a youth group serving in Jesus name, have a Happy Easter!" Many thanks from people and a bright spot in many lives for an hour on Tuesday nite. The Loft and Beyond went beyond to serve. We handed out candy and collected carts as the rain came down. The Walmart management didn't quit know what to think and was perplexed that we wanted to help and not be paid. Looking beyond our worlds and serving others is part of the message of the Cross. Praise God for 14 high school students willing to place their lives under our care so we can direct them in the ways of the Savior.

30 plus middle school students hunting for the highest point pictures for the fun of, Yea!! A student testimony of what Jesus means to them and the wordless book shared the amazing story of this great Holy week. Easter is the best week of the year. Jesus took our penalty of sin in His death and proved He could beat it by rising from the dead. Wow, Jesus is an amazing Savior!! A slide show will come but for now a couple of pics.

Time is Fun when your having Flies, Said the Frog!!

I think the saying for we humans is actually; 'time flies when your having fun'. So what happened to the blog since November 09. Life! We all know how it goes. For our family it have been CY activities and family stuff. Retreats, Thanksgiving, Church activities, Christmas, a wedding (Yea! Mark & Kristy), School stuff (adventure club), NY Bowery missions trip, wedding plans for Chris and Julie, backpack trips etc. Time does fly!!

Karen started up a facebook (donkarenbrubaker) in January also, so that took some time. Anyway, I do like to blog but it does get put off. Anyway watch for more faithful updates!! See ya later :)
