With 17 high school students and leaders I guess 4 yards raked in 30 minutes is not that impressive. Serving and going beyond ourselves to live out the Gospel is what we seek to be about at the Loft and Beyond on Tuesday nites. We spend time reading a section in the
book Jesus Freak. This gives us a glimpse of what others have sacrificed for our Lord Jesus Christ. This turns us toward a passage of scripture to give us Truth. Many times we celebrate with some songs from from Utube like
Joyful Noise or
Two Hands. Then we go beyond and serve. One nite we made cards with scripture verses about light and the
energy of God. We attached these cards to energy light bulbs and 9 volt batteries and gave to people in the neighborhood by the Loft and in Lancaster near Lincoln. We find that serving others is as much fun or more fun then serving ourselves!! Yea!!
